Free Market Signals

There were less advertisements several years ago - but I must admit I like these no-pressure-to-buy signs. They simply tell you what is for sale down various aisles of the market. Clearly people buy products for the sake of the products and the brand names and packaging play no role in enticing people to buy. This is why rational Western Corportations in Capitalist societies do not waste resources on making things pretty and attractive - instead it is all about efficiency. which society is outdoing which society here?
